Subject: Invitation to the Korean Government Sponsored G-20 KGLF
To our dearest alumni members,
The Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Korea Development Institute (KDI) School of Public Policy and Management in Seoul, Korea are delighted to be co-hosting the second installment of the G-20 Korea Global Leaders Fellowship (KGLF) Program. We would like to extend an invitation to your G-20 Deputy or an official from your Ministry or a related Ministry that works with G-20 agenda issues. This program, which will commence on September 17, 2012, was created as part of the Korean government’s dedication to the G20 Development Principles set forth in the Seoul Development Consensus for Shared Growth. In keeping with the goal of the Seoul Development Consensus for Shared Growth “to add value to and complement existing development commitments,” the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the KDI School will host all program participants from G-20 developing countries by waiving all program fees and offering roundtrip airfare, housing, and a living stipend while attending the program.
The objective of the G-20 Korea Global Leaders Fellowship Program is to enable participants to enhance their contributions towards reaching G-20 development goals set forth at the Seoul Summit and drive the momentum in implementing action plans so continuity is established at each subsequent G-20 Summit, including Cannes in 2011, Los Cabos in 2012, and St. Petersburg in 2013. The program has been designed for managers to come together into a classroom to learn how to overcome today’s complex challenges in achieving global sustainable development and to also learn about Korea’s exemplary economic development experience.
We would like to request your assistance and active cooperation in identifying two qualified government officials or managers who work directly in the field of development and G-20 issues to apply to this program.
We have enclosed additional information concerning the G-20 KGLF Program. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the KDI School by emailing email@example.com.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our office. Thank you very much for your consideration.
