The newly established University of Plymouth Social Sciences Doctoral Training Centre is delighted to announce the availability of 5 PhD studentships. Successful applicants who are awarded a studentship will join a vibrant community of over 160 social science research students within the Doctoral Training Centre. The Doctoral Training Centre, in partnership with the University of Plymouth Graduate School, will provide students with an extensive research training programme covering both generic and discipline specific skills.
Topics for studentships
5 Studentships are available in any of the following social science disciplines: Criminology, Education, Human Geography, Management and Business Studies, Politics and International Relations, Psychology, Sociology, Social Policy, and Social Work. Applications are expected to demonstrate how they align to the relevant strategic research themes of the University and its associated research centres and networks. Interdisciplinary applications are particularly welcome. We are particularly keen to receive applications on children`s moral judgements, political psychology and prejudice, children`s false memories, development of speech perception, mechanisms of psychotherapy, risk perception and risk-taking, or individual differences in thinking and reasoning.
